Jaisalmer Fort is an active residential area, not just a museum. Nearly a quarter of the old city's population lives within its walls. The winding streets contain centuries-old homes, leather craft shops, and active places of worship.

You can explore these streets 24 hours a day for free. Remember to dress modestly and remove your shoes before entering any temples.
